Normally I wouldn’t post something ike this- but this is a nice comprehensive list of freeware available- not trials that expire but really free.
here is site that lists all kinds of freeware
Some of the more useful freeware programs are ad-aware ( to get rid of spyware), pdfcreator, Skype, MOneyManager and many many more. Worth a look.
