PayPerPost’s RealRank to Go Live Tonight
PayPerPost/Izea Bloggers have been waiting for “something to be done” since late October when Google began slashing and burning their blog’s page rank.
Most though they would have to wait until January when Argus rolled out however the last blow from Google was too severe to ignore. Most PayPerPost bloggers woke up to find out their blogs had zero page rank .In an effort to lessen the pain- PayPerPOst/IZEA has been working round the clock to get “RealRank” implemented.
I am not 100% sold on the formula-
70% weighted towards visitors per day
20% weighted towards amount of ACTIVE inbound links per day
10% weighted towards pageviews per day

However it is up to advertisers to decide whether the like and TRUST the formula to work. They hold all the power in this high stakes game.
Advertiser’s have been paying a set fee to blogger to post about their product or service based mostly on the Google Toolbar Page Rank. A site with PR5 would expect to be paid in the 20-50 range for a post and a site with PR2 in the 5-7.00 range. You are limited to 3 posts per site per day. It can be quite lucrative for bloggers with solid page rank and traffic. Hence the pain when PR was pulled last week. Advertisers set the pricing and will be entirely up to them to set prices for blogs with RealRank. What will sway them? A high RealRank or no PR? If I were an advertiser I would probably some experimenting and run paid posts on both and track results- which posts actually converted? The proof of the pudding will be in the eating.
How to Get RealRank?
IZEA/PayPerPost can only assign a RealRank rating to sites that have PPP tools installed on their sites. It is a data collecting script. To get script you can go to “Blog” section of admin panel in PayPerPost. It is currently called PPP Tool. I see they are trying to change name to ITK ( IZEA Tool Kit?) .
The script cannot be installed on blog platforms that do not allow javascripts to be place in template – i.e. myspace and Vox.
Payperpost claims they have several solutions to prevent and detect “cheats” and gaming of traffic, etc.
When Does RealRank Start or Go Live?
According the the PPP blog just after midnight tonight the data will begin to “collect” and it is expected that you will see some sort of a RealRank number in your PayPerPost dashboards early as tomorrow. PayPerPost/IZEA warns that it may take 24 hours for RealRank to have enough information to gather accurate data and number will change.
I have 3 blogs in PPP system and recently installed the intrusive PPP Tools/ITK tool on 2 of them.
