Reality Check For Those Who Think They Don’t Need Google and RealRank Will Prevail

About 2 weeks ago Google page rank zero’d a number of blogs who were “selling” links. Google has admitted that blogs and sites affiliated with Text Link Ads, Text- link-brokers – those under the PayPerPost umbrella were hit hardest.

The message board at PayPerPost are flooded with posts about Google and Zero Page rank as punishment. I appreciate their angst and anger at the situation but denying the Google has any power over a site’s success is a dangerous way of thinking.
Google Page Rank and Google are two different things.

Courtney Tuttle in his blog post, RealRank™ Doesn’t Solve Anything For Bloggers touches on some salient points- PayPerPost bloggers are naive to think that RealRank will replace Google Page Rank and that they are mistaken in thinking that they don’t need Google. Courtney suggest that if not taken seriously Google may go to the next step and de-index sites all together.

I have been deeply disappointed that Google did not communicate its intent to the AVERAGE blogger or site owner. They heavily penalized some and ignored others. It seems the hardest hit were the “little” guy – the stay at home moms an dads that are making few extra bucks a month.

Maybe their peeps and squeeks are the easiest to ignore.
