Web Domaining as a Source of Income
I have been promoting The DoFollow Directory project and came across a site that follows, Dot Sauce. The owner was discussing flipping web domains for money. I have always been curious about this- but not curious enough to pursue. The concept always seemed slightly low end to me, and I feel a bit guilty for being so snobbish.
SEO an search engine marketing are a clique-y bunch- some would even say elitist. It would drive me nuts when i was link building that the same SEO guys publicly would eschew reciprocal links or brand 3-way links as demonic and privately email or PM me to trade links. I got the same vibe when paid links became an issue. They would be screaming about how awful they were in forums and then have all kinds of ads from Text Link Brokers ,Text Link Ads, etc. But I digress….
I have sometimes turned my nose up at legitimate types of business and feel badly about it. One of the mission of this blog is too help women and parents who are at home to earn extra income while staying at home to take care of their families.
The concept of flipping web domains may be viable for people who really don’t want to write a blog and are more interested in “wheeling and dealing” and the buzz that comes from it. The site was very well written and I was surprised by how much information the author shared with his readers.
