Useful PayPerPost Tools for Blogging
A popular- of not risky =- way for blogger to make money is to be be paid for posts that they write on their blog using an advertiser link. There are many of these types of services PayPerPost being the most popular . Others include ReviewMe . In order to be paid for the you cannot use nofollow tags with the link. In an effort to stamp out the practice of buying page rank Google enforces its policy but taking away any of your page rank. If your page rank is important to you- proceed with caution before accepting these kinds of links.
I am of the opinion that Google can do whatever it wants to do and blogger an do whatever they want to do. Google page rank is a made up value the Google came up with and users can chose to give it credence or not.
At any rate here on some tools and utilities that PayPerPost bloggers find useful when doing paid posts.
Helpful PayPerPost Tools
Word Count: A Firefox extension that counts word in text area. It counts how many words and characters you have types in a blog post draft. The tools is great for anyone who needs to know quickly how many words they have written in a post. It also disregards html for more accurate count.
PayPerPost Opps Hider lets you hide PayPerPost opportunities you don’t want i.e. low paying ads or types of ads you deem inappropriate for you blog. I have not tried this but bloggers I know that do Paperpost use it and like it.
Kontera Integration Wordpress Plugin Depdning ont he way you set up this let you turn off Kontera for any given post OR add Kontera to post. Kontera is set up to add links to content in your blogs. PayPerPost does not allow post to contain other links so post are rejected. You can use this plugin to to turn of Kontera in your PayPerPost posts.
Adsense Integration with PayPerPost blog posts. Currently the are strict rules about AdSense ads in you PayPerPost paid posts.
You can use Feedburner tool, AdSense Integrated with FeedBurner Site Ads to insert Google ads at the very end before comments section of your posts. I think there are better ways to do this and not sure how valuable a tool this is to be honest. I prefer to track my adsense ads and will insert blanket code onto my site as last resort, ie. I will put one in header because it make the most amount of money for me- however I still can’t track what page the header was on when the user clicked.
