Using PPC ( Pay Per Click) to Boost Your Affiliate Marketing Earnings

I make no claims to being a PPC expert. I have had some experience using AdWords. Just read a quite good, easy to understand article on using PPC to make money with your affiliate marketing. Some good solid ideas great for those new to PPC.
PPB is a good way to get traffic and convert to sales if you do it right. With niche markets can also be quite inexpensive.
Take a look if you have ever thought about using PPC or have no clue what I am talking about and are but curious.

Why Niche Blogs Work

I am posting the brilliant quote by Seth Godin, who has this simple headline in a post today.

The more people you reach the more likely it is that you’re reaching the wrong people.

It the “Who vs. the “how many”

This can be a difficult concept to get across to clients who believe in casting a big net or using the throw something against the wall and see what sticks style of marketing. Seth’s quote says it all- and elegantly!

PayPerPost Bloggers Still Sitting at Page Rank Zero After Latest Google Update

No Reprieve For PayPerPost Bloggers

PayPerPost Bloggers still holding out hope for a reprieve from Google and crossing their fingers to see if Google with show some mercy and restore some of their page rank- which was wiped out last October.

PayPerPost is a service where bloggers are paid to review a site in their blog post. The controversy is over whether or not these links- which have no “nofollow” tags are advertising or link selling. Google thinks they are paid links and punished posties by giving them Page rank zero on sites they thought might be posting these kind of reviews.
Looking at posts on the PayPerPost there are many disappointed bloggers.
Not only did bloggers not get their page rank back- but many sites that were missed in last update had their page rank reduced to zero.

Looking at the PayPerPost forums reality does seem to be setting in with many bloggers using PayPerPost who were left gobsmacked last fall and posts seem to be of reconciliatory nature and acceptance rather than anger and dismay.

Widgetbucks is Stopping it Sign-Up Bonus Program

Effective January 15 there will be no 25.00 bonus just for signing up. They also will be reducing referral commission from 10% to 5%. If you have made links in your blog you may want to change.
If you have not all ready signed up- then do it now to get your 25.00 sign-up bonus . Widgetbucks Sign-up Bonus link.

Why sign-up? I write more extensively about Widgetbucks in my post, 10 Resolutions That Will Make Your Blog Earn More Money This Year.

Will this affect the way you promote Widgetbucks?

It won’t change the way I promote or not.I think it won’t for me. Widgetbucks does well and well enough for me to mention as alternative revenue source. They had the right idea getting bloggers with “make money blogging” type sites to promote for them by offering a a referral commission of 10% . The 25.00 bonus gives them a reason to sign up . Paypal did the same thing when they first came on the scene- offering $20.00 to referrers and referees on sign-up. Ebay moms flocked to it like wildfire.

I do think that sign-ups up for Widgetbucks will drop off dramatically when they discontinue the $25.00 bonus. I will mention Widgetbucks as much as as before however the conversion rate is sure to plummet.

Best Ways To Use Widgetbucks

I have found it most effective on a product based site. Although if your blog has a strong theme you may also have some room for play; i.e. Widgetbucks has a “green living” category and this can be paired on posts or blogs with a related theme- a natural living site for example.

Match Your Posts With Ads

I spend a bit of time matching ads blocks with posts. I have found the CTR to be so-so and the payment per click to be very good. In some case better then Adsense. I was pleasantly surprised how much money I made last month.
Typically I have placed widgetbucks ads in spots where I might have an Amazon Widget or on a blog where my Adsense ads are all over the place, With niche blogs my Adsense ads are consistent and CTR very high. When the blogs is less niche and more broad the Adsense ads will start to vary widely and Widgetbucks and Amazon both allow you to narrow down the type of products you want to display.
If you are disappointed with Amazon revenue or your Adsense ads have low CTR when embedded into post ( i.e. below 1%) then I would absolutely give this a try.

The sign up was very easy and took minutes.
