Be Part of The Blog Game- Participaction Required for Success

Rudd Hein, of Search Engine People posts excellent and well written article of the need for bloggers to participate in the “community”. In his article, It’s The Participation Stupid He notes that if you’re not participating, you willingly give up mindshare and fail to influence. That blogging in world by yourself won’t get you very far. You need to “talk” about others in your field, link to them, comment on them.

You have to participate.

Absolutely dead on. Relationships are key to successful blogging. Not just with your readers- but other in your niche. Write about what others are doing in your field; what they are saying in their blogs? Comment on it on both your blog and theirs. Ask them questions- stir things up a bit.

Join various social medias to create contacts and meet other like minded people and BLOG about it.

Add Your Name To PayPerPost Petition- Petition to Allow All Users Early Access to Argus

Argus will not be available to all its users until at least January.

PayperPost aka IZEA is allowing a select group of users access to their new metrics calculator, presently called “ARGUS” .
Currently most users have to wait until January to have access to the platform. If you were at PostieCon or on beta testing board you can have access. Currently PPP opportunities are available based on Google page rank and Alexa traffic rank.

Many “Posties” saw their page rank take a huge drop over the last month and severely limit their ability to earn money through PayPerPost. The drop has been attributed to selling paid links . Google has openly said that it views bloggers taking PPP opportunities as selling page rank and devalued sites.

How to Add NOFOLLOW Tags to Your Paid Links

After experiencing heavy drops in PR many sites and blogs are adding nofollow tags to their paid links. You are only required by Google to add nofollow tags to PAID links, not links in your blogroll or links in your posts that have not been paid for. If you do something like nofollow tags to your whole site then that causes other problems- limit yourslef to adding nofollow tag sto just your paid outbound links..

Re-Birth of a Site or Lisa, Why Is Your Page Rank So Crappy ?
