A permalink or permanent link, is a URL that points to a specific blog or forum entry after it has been pushed off the front page and into archives. You can change your permalink structure ( the way Wordpress names your link) in Manage/Permalinks. The generally accepted best practice is to use date/post title type permalink structure.
